The Effects of Dental Hygiene Students' Problem Solving Ability and Interpersonal Ability on Clinical Practice Satisfaction

Abstract

|
Objectives: This study aims to identify the effect of problem-solving and interpersonal ability on clinical practice satisfaction for dental hygiene students and use them as basic data necessary for developing programs to improve students' problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and clinical practice satisfaction.
Methods: Dental hygiene students in Daejeon who experienced clinical practice from April 1 to April 30, 2022 were asked to fill out a self-reported questionnaire through a random sampling method.
Results: Problem-solving ability was the most influential factor on satisfaction with clinical practice, and explanatory power was 21.7%.
Conclusions: As a result of the above, it seems necessary to improve interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills, cooperate with school activities and practice institutions to improve clinical practice satisfaction, and improve clinical practice curriculum.
